A special moment for the team today when we, for the first time in team history, crossed the 2.000 points border.
With 2.040 points we are very close to the games top 20 en only ten points away from leading the Belgium teams rank.
It is known tjat Leukefans isn't the fastest team climbing the ranks, but that doesn't mean we' are not ambitious. We still have great plans for the future, settling with the best, keeping on climbing the ranks. However, we won't do this at all cost. Team Leukefans has always been a team with a vivid soul, signified by a mix of tactical purchases and the occasional training project. We discovered that training your own youngsters is not the way to quick succes, but that does not mean we will stop training youngsters.
Training a young, promising rider, aiming to get him to become one of the best is one of the most fun and thrilling parts of cycling. It is a constant risk, but a risk that we love to take and that we will keep on taking.
We ensure you this: although we are getting one of 'the bigger guys' now, we promise not to lose our own soul and we will proceed to be a team that gives chances to young guns to develop, mixed with older, more experienced guys!
